Remembrance Trees™

Offering you the opportunity to leave a timeless legacy that will be a reminder of your heritage forever. This thoughtful and unique gift will mark a loved one's Irish roots for future generations.

The The Irish Remembrance Tree Scheme™ is a joint initiative between Reméire – the Irish Remembrance Company - and the Irish Oak Renewal Foundation. The Scheme enables you to commemorate someone special who has passed on, and is a uniquely Irish tribute to that person.

By choosing an Irish Remembrance Tree, you will also be helping replenish the nearly extinct Irish Oaks that for generations have been a true representation of life and its cycle. You will receive a certificate of ownership, that will be a testament to your awareness of the environment, and proof of ownership of your very own little piece of Ireland.

Your Remembrance Tree™ will span the human generations, giving pleasure to many, while enriching Ireland's natural heritage by helping to replant Ireland's Oak Forests.

How does the Scheme Work?
When you purchase an Irish Remembrance Oak Tree, we will issue a certificate of ownership, which will display your name or the name of your choice. The certificate will also show your unique tree identification number, and the position of your tree within the oak forest in Killarney National Park in longitude and latitude coordinates derived from the Global Positioning System (DGPS). This system allows us to fix the position of your tree to within one inch. Every tree is labelled with a metal tag, which clearly states the full name of the person to whom the tree is dedicated and the unique tree identification number.

 Where is the Forest located?
The forest is located in Killarney National Park near Glencar, in the highlands of County Kerry in the southwest of Ireland. Situated 10 miles from the town of Killorglin and centrally located on the Iveragh peninsula to the towns of Killarney, Kenmare, and Waterville. The forest is landscaped to welcome visitors, with walkways and ample car parking.

Can I visit to see my Remembrance Tree?
Of course! When you want to visit your tree, finding it within the forest could not be simpler, you just have to check your name or unique tree identification number against the name tags on the trees.

What is the Cost?
The cost for the dedication of an Irish Remembrance Tree™ in a park of your choice is US$79.95. We will also mail the personalised Certificate to an address of your choice free of charge.
